McMaster Children’s Hospital will always hold a special place in our hearts as the location in which Jace’s life was saved. What we did not understand at first is what McMaster University’s connection was. One day Dr. Singh and her amazing team of researchers invited our family for a tour of the research lab that Jace Wars had been donating to. The lab was located at the university but adjoined to the hospital with many researchers working in both locations. We then understood that the hospital and the university were inseparable and that the work being done at one would be applied to the other.
They wanted to show us exactly where the donations went to. As we walked in, we were surprisingly greeted with a standing ovation by over a dozen researchers. Jace was presented with a special badge, and a specialized slideshow was prepared specifically for us followed by a tour of the facility. The researchers explained their work and compared it to the Star Wars Saga specifically for us. To say we were blown away would be the understatement of a lifetime. Below is a copy for your perusal. Feel free to explore and enjoy it at your own pace. Be warned, the slideshow is very scientific based and may be hard to understand at points.
